Stepping out into owning my own business has really gotten me familiar with the word “No”. It can feel like defeat. You walk away deflated and after you’ve gotten quite a few rejections you begin to think doubtfully. Reevaluating if this is truly your purpose. You try less, you ask less, you shy away from opportunities. Who knew that a two letter word could be so powerful?
Where is the blessing found in rejection? Is it really rejection? We ask the question knowing we can get only two possible answers. We either will get a “ yes” or “no”. God’s will can be found in both answers. Mentally we naturally equate “no” with rejection. The truth is it really isn’t about the answer at all. It’s all about your faith and confidence in Christ. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely understand what it means to plan, work tirelessly, and pray to get a favorable outcome. To get that “yes”! Could it be that we are not ready for what we are asking? Is it not the right time? Is it not meant for us or aligned with our purpose. Is it a test to see if we can remain faithful even after we feel rejected? So many different scenarios but only one God. Do you trust to the point of knowing his authority exceeds our planning. Once we can begin to believe that we see that every “no” is a blessing in disguise. You are being groomed for the “yes” you could never imagine.
